Question 1

What is HauteApp?

Accepted Answer

HauteApp is the business app for fashion designers and tailors. It keeps your orders, clients, measurements, payments, lookbook, inventory and team in one place on your phone, and gives you your own online store.

Question 2

How do I get started?

Accepted Answer

Download HauteApp free from the App Store or Google Play, sign up as a shop owner and add your shop's name and what you make. A short tour shows you around, and your first 30 days include every Elite feature.

Question 3

Can my staff use HauteApp too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Invite staff from More, then Staff. Each person gets an email with a code, opens the app, taps "Have a staff invite? Enter code" and sets a password. You choose exactly what each person can see and do. Staff accounts are on the Growth and Elite plans.

Question 4

How do I set up my store?

Accepted Answer

Go to More, then Store Settings. Add your logo, cover image, name, city and a short description, then your opening hours and delivery options. The Customer View tab shows exactly what clients will see.

Question 5

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Every new store starts with a free 30-day Elite trial with everything unlocked. After that you stay on the free Starter plan unless you choose Growth or Elite.

Question 6

What do the plans cost?

Accepted Answer

Starter is free. Growth and Elite are paid monthly, or for 3, 6 or 12 months at a discount. The pricing page always shows the current prices, which are the same on the website and in the app.

Question 7

How do I pay for a plan?

Accepted Answer

In the app, go to More, then Subscription. You can also pay on the website at hauteapps.com/pricing with your app email and password, by card, bank transfer or USSD. Every payment comes with a receipt by email.

Question 8

How do my clients pay me?

Accepted Answer

From any order, send a secure Paystack payment link for a deposit, the balance or the full amount, and the order updates itself when they pay. You can also record cash, transfer and POS payments yourself. Online payments settle to the bank account you connect under More, then Bank Accounts.

Question 9

What fees come out of an online payment?

Accepted Answer

Paystack takes its processing fee and HauteApp takes a small commission; the rest is your payout. Every online payment shows the full breakdown on its order. Cash and transfer payments you record yourself have no fees.

Question 10

How do I create an order?

Accepted Answer

Open Orders and tap the plus button. Choose the client, the style and their measurements, add fabric from your inventory, set the workmanship fee and due date, then take a deposit now or later. An invoice is created with the order.
